The Monthly Wag
Every month starts with The Monthly Wag, a newsletter written by Angela, for dog people. Not a generic pet-care roundup. Not a listicle. A real, personal read that feels like a note from a friend who also happens to be obsessed with her dogs.
You’ll find stories about Angela’s own pups, the funny moments, the sweet ones, and the ones that remind you why you love dogs as much as you do. Mixed in are rescue spotlights from across the country, local and national events worth knowing about, and real, practical ways you can help, whether you have two hours a month or two hundred dollars to spare.
“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” — Roger Caras
Dog people are community people. The Wag is built around that, celebrating the humans and organizations doing the quiet, important work of making life better for dogs everywhere.
This isn’t a throwaway card. Each one is themed for the month, designed to collect, display, or keep in a drawer for the days you need a little something.
On it you’ll find a practical tip, a book or resource Angela recommends, and the fan favorite: a quote directly from her dog. Because sometimes the dog has more wisdom than anyone in the room, and it’s about time we acknowledged that.
“Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen.” — Orhan Pamuk
Think of it as a little monthly artifact. Something tangible and themed that accumulates into something kind of wonderful over time, a small collection that tells the story of the year, month by month, dog quote by dog quote.

The Collector Card

Monthly Stickers
Three to five stickers per month, and yes, they are themed to match everything else in the envelope. Nothing is random here. Each set is designed around that month’s vibe, so whether it’s a cozy fall theme or a bright summer set, it all ties together.
Stick them on your water bottle, your laptop, your dog’s crate, your car, your forehead. Honestly, we don’t judge. They’re meant to be used and enjoyed, not saved for a special occasion that never comes.
“Because of the dog’s joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift.”
— Mary Oliver
Each set is a little piece of that month’s personality. Small, but the kind of small that makes you smile when you peel one off and find the perfect spot for it.
One recipe card per month, and it changes with the seasons, the way good cooking should. Dog treats, human comfort food, summer salads, winter pot roasts, whatever fits the time of year, that’s what shows up.
Sometimes it’s a dog biscuit recipe you’ll make on a Sunday afternoon. Sometimes it’s a slow-cooker meal for you that your dog will absolutely try to steal. Either way, it’s practical, seasonal, and the kind of thing you might actually clip to your fridge.
“My little dog — a heartbeat at my feet.” — Edith Wharton
It’s a small thing that ends up being one of the most-used things in the envelope. Food has a way of doing that.

The Surprise Gift & Postcard
Every single month, there’s a surprise gift tucked into the envelope. We’re not going to tell you what it is. That’s kind of the whole point. What we can tell you is that it’s thoughtful, it’s dog-related, and it’s the kind of thing you’d pick up for a friend.
Alongside it is a flat cartoon postcard designed specifically for that month. Keep it for yourself as a little piece of art, or hand it to someone who could use a smile. Dog people know plenty of those.
“Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them, and filling an emptiness we didn’t ever know we had.” — Thom Jones
There’s something about a surprise that never gets old, especially when it arrives in your mailbox on an ordinary Tuesday and suddenly the whole day feels a little better.

ABOUT THE CLUB
Why I Started This
I love dogs. I know, groundbreaking. But I also know I’m not alone in the way I love them. My dogs aren’t pets. They’re family. They’re in my plans, in my photos, in my conversations, and in every room I walk into.
I wanted to build something for the people who feel exactly the same way. Not a big, complicated thing. Just a little envelope every month that shows up and says, “We see you. We get it. Here’s something made just for you.”
Is it a little silly? Yes. Is it sorely needed? Also yes. Life is stressful enough. Your mailbox doesn’t have to be.
